Poetry Dice Entry:"Will you listen?"

From the first second
The die rolls and never stops,
From the first steps to the first flowers smelt
the first kiss to the first heartbreak
It can't be brought to a halt,
It just rolls on with everybody as it's sheeps
Subject to its blessings and hissy fits

Remember your 8th birthday?
You got a gameboy and your happiness was made,
Summer camps and swingsets were life itself
Before the bars, the self inflicted scars
The mood swings and the prescribed traumas

Now only a shell of your former self
You preach openness while so secretive
you find your own skeletons cryptic,
Your instincts forever a myth
They're never in synch with your actions,
They say rest to heal, you run to appeal to the masses
And take flight once a connection is made

Young boy will you listen
Or keep chasing all that glistens?
Flyest chicks this, dopest kicks that
Never discrete and "always" in the streets,
Boy Keep Blowing your mumbo-jumbo
out of proportion
Like Rambo and his jungle explorations
And the die might show you who the real stallion

Its been going for eons
And will still be going
Long after we're put in the ground,
Long after it has bridged the gap
To your future generations
And your time capsules have been reviewed

Better wake up If you believe
The cars you drove will impress them
Or that your phones will text them your perspective,
Even Pharaoh's soldiers never rose
To protect the pyramids as they were being pillaged,
So how could you assume you'd have such control?

My advice is cherish
Those that cherish you,
Let go of your trust issues
Before their love and patience burn out...
Better start now before you're no more than a relic
