SteemitPoetryContest#11 + Knocking at Your Door

This is my entry for the Steemit Poetry Contest #11 - Loneliness

Knocking at Your Door.jpg

Knocking at Your Door

Knocking at your door,
Waiting for an answer,
I worry more and more,
Since I heard that you have cancer.

Knocking at your door,
I took your child and wife,
I took them years before,
Now I want your lonely life.

Knocking at your door,
I thought that you knew,
My knock you cannot ignore,
I am death, here to take you.

This is intense and beautiful! Reminded me of Stromae's song 'Quand c'est'.

This poem is just so touching... made me realize that we are all vulnerable to death.
