Seeds fly high
when a swift breeze takes them
on a one-way flight
short or long,
landing here or there.
Sun, wind, and summer rain
determine their plight.
Today’s seeds,
Tomorrow’s flowers, and
the silent stone, frustrated:
another one bit the dust.
