Discord Spoken Word Contest - A Christmas Tale
Whenever I hear the sound of the Knockout,
I know Christmas is near
Coupled with the Shiny Stars, this should make it clear.
The year suddenly becomes sweeter when it gets to the Ember season
Sound of Joy as the people prepare to celebrate on 25th, Christ is the reason.
The earth was blessed through the birth of Christ.
The prophecy was told, John the Baptist was right
For our sake, he gave his life
Died on the cross, so the world can see the light.
Just like the stars shining from the East, It was bright
By the mention of his name, the lame could walk and even the blind gain his sight.
People in ancient time, sworn to protect the truth and the people, they were called Knight.
When we make our desires know in prayers, we call it plight.
Cos we have known the truth from the bible, the enemies can no longer engage us in a fight.
If Christmas comes with a price, I know the poor cannot afford.
We will all celebrate all around the world in love and in one accord
Hallelujah, Christ is Born. We are bless to sing with our Vocal Cord
Just like the cool breeze, we spread the message through discord
This could be Galilee but NO, this is discord.
There was joy from the heavens? Yes
He was born in a manger at Bethlehem? Yes
The 3 wise men followed the stars from the East? Yes
They came with gifts for Christ? Yes
The wise men could be your fore fathers
Cos the destination and identity were not traced till date
Are you giving like the wise men? Yes or No
Are you reaching out to the less privilege today? Yes or No
For Christ came to spread love
where is the Love?
If the people around you cannot feel the reason for the season
And the reason for the season is Jesus which is Love.
Spread Love as you celebrate Christmas
