Words with Bots

Bless their tinny hearts,
it’s a thankless task
doling out love, in parts,
whenever we ask

Machine, save my face
but, please, hide your own
Secure me a place
high up, not low down

on that Trending List
where champions live
Never mind, it’s fixed—
that's our secret, Give!”

This is really fun, and so relevant to the community, it definitely made me smile as I think about getting going on steemit and face the task of setting up a bot or two. Beautiful presentation, too. Looking forward to seeing/reading more.

Hey, glad it tickled & made ya think. Welcome aboard—I hope my words continue keeping you good company & I look forward to seeing you thrive in this new playground, Steemit 🤓

Oh i love this! You always submit such good entries!! This is both endearing and amusing. I would wish you luck but you do not need it at all with this one. A very witty little ditty that it also somewhat thought provoking, it has an entertaining face value, but then something more hiding below the more times you read it. :)

I’m really grateful for your enthusiastic response, thank you so much! This poem was inspired late one night when I was trying to imagine the perspective of the bots and all we hoist onto them of human emotions: expectation, hope, shame, etc...

I certainly hope other readers enjoy it as much as you did, especially Terry 🤓 I love what you say about it having entertaining face value & more, upon rereading.

This reminds me of a beloved quote by Oscar Wilde: ‘All art is, at once, surface and symbol. Those who go beneath the surface do so at their own peril.’

Thanks, again, for your close, generous attention 🙏🏼

Nice poem about bots, where my recent efforts have been. Please monitor my bots and criticize me if you think I need it. I intend to create good bots, but different people have different opinions on what is good. So far, my bots just give without taking. But am I doing it in a good way? I will be doing self reflection on this, but welcome all opinions. Have a nice day, my friend!

I have absolutely no intention of criticizing you, @kenny-crane, and think that your bots are an extension of your giving, generous nature.

As friend recently pointed out to me, @carlgnash (another curator of good bots) there are many bots out there and many different ways to use them.

In this poem, I was trying to have a little fun with the darker side of bots and, psychologically, what it might mean for our self-esteem as we use them.

Sending much appreciation your way, dear Kenny—your near altruistic use of Steemit is an ongoing source of inspiration, my friend!

hahaha.... Nope, not at all cynical :-) Hugs. (From this here not-a-bot)

Can’t be serious all the time, can we? Yet, even in this playful ditty, my heart breaks for humanity...

“I am human, nothing human is alien to me.”
—Terence, Roman playwright

Hugs back, 🤖 👽 🤗

hahaha.... Nope,

But always bot need
a plenty of money to run
but if someone cann't afford that
always lies in down people
...
What do you thing about my stanza...
Really its my first time to talk in poetry.
Try alot of time but due to
some unkniwn fear of listener

It's subjective, of course, but I'm sorry I don't see how this is poetry... (If you're interested, there are workshops here, on Discord, to work on your English and poetry, too). Have a good day, Yahia
