Late Night Poetry
With such a positive response, to a spur of the moment decision... add a piece of my poetry to the #treetuesday challenge... and so many commented... felt I'd try to find a fitting photograph, and share another piece of poetry with you...
…and what would you?
Should your days slowly come to an end…
The bright light shined out far too quickly,
So much to see
So much to do
…change
…and how could you?
All those what if's fit nicely in a box within…
It's always darkest before the dawn,
Would you have done it differently;
So much was lost
So much was taken
…change
…and who would you?
Words and actions, power spent that can't be returned…
A name a face, your memory slowly fades,
So much at stake
So much to take
…change
...and who saved you?
It's done and through, it starts with you
…change
If all is lost, then what's the cost
…change
Retrace your steps, and do your best
…chang

As I had mentioned, this was indeed a very interesting time in my life... and ironically, I believe I was listening to the song "Bleed" by Meshuggah... it was calming to me at the time...
Anyway... thank you as always for stopping in and reading my posts. Let me know if you'd like to see the other pieces of poetry I wrote... hope you have a good weekend... TGIF!!
