[Haiku] The Seer's Temple

in #poetry6 years ago

Good day, Steemit.

Any fans of haiku here? I wrote a few back in the days. I came up with this current one in 2016. It is a part of a bigger picture I'm building and growing.

Since haikus are originally short, my idea was to extend a single piece into several haiku blocks, so it would be more suitable to tell a story.

Check it out:

The Seer's Temple

Halls with engraved walls,
a seer’s ancient resting place –
long forsaken tomb.

Wind blows, spirit growls,
something lurks with darkly trace,
faceless shadows loom.

Runes brighten, ignite.
Magic lights the dust and clay,
wavering the floor.

Unable to fight,
gloomy darkness burns away.
The threat is no more.

Unwelcome you are
if poison runs in your soul.
Stay away from here.

Step right in if far
pure intentions are at hold.
Nothing is to fear.
