Timestream of Life - Poem
Nothing is old, nothing is new
From the stampeding crowd to the chosen few
The lies, the golden truth
The noise, the serenity
The calmness, the trepidity
From the cello spiralling into banana leaf ears
To the thunder rapping through the atmosphere
The quiet chords, the reckless words
From the actors acting to the directors shouting cut
The film makers and the buyers lot
Nothing is old, nothing is new
From the blinding heights to the deepest blues
I've seen it all, the writhes, the scuff
From the lousy guitar filtering into hollowing souls
To thoughts provoking notes
The octaves, the major, the minors
The cocktails, walkways, the emporiums
Everything is played out
From the gentle kid to the derailed tout
Nothing is old, nothing is new
From the sound of nails biting the keyboard
To the evanescence of vapour
From the restless key jumping the scale
To a ship without a sail
From the tumbler without a rum to a drum stick without a drum
From the Opera without an audience
To a guest house without Ambience
From a composer without a chair to the poet without his Ink
The ramblings, the rattling
The praises, the disparaging remarks
Twins : dissimilar and exact
I swear, I’ve seen it all
From chest of corridors to the writings on the walls
