Dessert
Dinner begets dessert
and fools are no fool
Vanilla Twilight
alamode
in my room?
Howls like wolves
as it waxes to full,
Then it wanes
with a swirl
rolls-over and spoons
-Smurf

This is a poem about a date that goes right --if you know what I mean. A tale of a slightly premiscuous encounter between two people. The popular phrase "only fools fall in love" is put into context under the statement "fools are no fool. Typically when thinking of this phrase the word fool is used to describe the hopeless romantics, a set of love-birds. Here, I play on the wisdom of two people used to the dating scene. The night ends with ...dessert ;)

I decided it would be more fun to play with metaphores than to accurately describe what happens when someone invites you back to their room and moonlight is the only light in the room. Howls, like wolves.
