TRYING
TO
SAY!
blocking myself off from this creative flow
Where will it take me
and what does it really mean to let go!
ah the desire to just open the flood gates
and begin!
to just trust in the process
and really give in!
rejection, oppression
and total denial .
that just goes
Round
and
Round
feeling my feet
never quiet touch the ground,
when all we really need
is to embrace and allow our thoughts to run clear....
there is no turning back
we can choose to step forward
or wait.
for others to rescue us
to elevate our time
but this repetition only leads to more denial.
we hold the key to liberate,
but there is no place for inclusion
if we first don't create.
our hands are longing to take
those brushes that paint pictures
and dissolve years of constant heartbreak.
and take hold of that brush
and allow it to create
and push out
that kept us chained and subdued
for with the art of creation
we stand renewed!

yes! I've been thinking alot about creativity of late, of course, and it is a lot about self expression, dissolving emotion, reaching for understanding, giving voice to suffering or joy - and we leave behind remnants in ink, clay, pixels. Such a human thing.
