Sometimes...

Sometimes, it seems like I’m not there. 

Sometimes, it seems like I don’t care. 

Sometimes, my house looks empty like nobody’s around. I know how you feel, the loneliness in which you drowned. 

Sometimes, it seems like I may never come around. 

Sometimes, this chain I wear holds me to the ground. 

Sometimes, I wish to be someone that’s not me. 

Sometimes, I wish I could be a bird in a tree. I’d spread my wings, set myself free. 

                      I’d look to the sky, set my sights high, then take the leap, soaring as I fly. 

Sometimes, I smile, but I’m lying to myself, tucking away my feelings like books on a shelf. 

Sometimes, the strength isn’t there to keep on going. 

Sometimes, it seems like there isn’t much worth knowing. 

Sometimes, I try to find my way through the night, looking for rays of comforting light. 

Sometimes, I don’t want the love of the light. Sometimes, I want the darkness of the night. 

Sometimes, dark thoughts casts everything in doubt. 

Sometimes, I question what this is all about. 

Sometimes, we’re two ships adrift in the roughest of seas, waves crashing down, wondering when it’ll ease. 

…Sometimes… 

But, to live and to grow, is to love and to show, the loved ones you know, that while change can be slow, sometimes will only be Sometimes. 

The darkness will go, love will take root, because it’s love that’ll guide, love absolute.
