Could one truly turn off the the hum that came through the filters of consciousness...yes it can when it knows its the noise, the sorrow of only hearing the grind of your own hamster wheel as we try so hard to catch the elusive rewards from the very noise we create...collectively.

Thanks for your comment @the.human.union. I agree that it's a difficult job trying to turn off the 'hum' of a busy mind. I have rarely done it. Although, those rare moments of clarity and stillness are even more profound for their rarity when they do happen. Glad you enjoyed the poem, I was writing pretty much unfiltered here
