Agony in the dusty corners
of the souls.

Anguish clinging to the rusty
tears of discarded dreams.

Anxiety in the burnt down
thickets of expectations,
and the plundered bodies of
broken into thoughts.

Anxiety in the distant
days of love, now enveloped
in silence.

Anguish following the
strike of the clock as it
counts the days of separation.

Agony in my eyes
on the watch for an answer
as I tenderly whisper to
you caressing words
