Of the many creatures that leave
trace upon trace,
Those of the wilderness intrigue.
Seething, the bracken pulls relentless.
Nocturnal, identified by coat, remains.
Shallow water sits within footsteps.
Proof of life.
To notice those that sit within
torn wool,
Is to witness the face of existence.
