Joining Them Soon

Sleeping bag people
Partying on the streets
More are joining them everyday
"Got ten pence to keep the party going?"

Non sleeping baggers be hating
Trying to stop the party
They don't want them to take drugs and have a good time
Jealously believing only non sleeping bag people should have drugs

Party on the street everyday
Sleeping bag parties are so cool
Those Westminster frogs jelly
Coz how cool a sleeping bag person got outside their establishment

Sleeping bag people
Throw the biggest street parties
To good to resist
I hear you're joining them soon

Sleeping bags in front of the shops as a party place for those living below the poverty line.

I've felt the same way 14 years ago when the tsunami struck my country (Aceh).

reading your poems reminds me of bitter memories first.
I had to flee and sleep in a sleeping bag.

Thanks for sharing! Many human stories are similar across the whole globe, sometimes just different circumstances.

your wellcome.

as the times progress, we must be able to follow the storyline of the times.

change is not destined for granted if humans do not want to change.

we are not always above and not forever we are under.

a poem with a very deep meaning.

Feast of poverty in a sleeping bag.

very touching in my heart.

Thank you! ^_^

If this global economy situation will continue like this then ill probably join them as well.

My dream is for everyone in the UK to become homeless. I would like to see everyone on the street, outside of rows and rows of endless unoccupied houses, and then to think "Wait a minute! Aren't houses for living in?"

I'm safe luckily thanks to joining Steemit last year, and making mega $$$ in crypto markets. I've also occupied empty property before, so either way I am good.

Quite the perspective. Good statement on how the 1%ers increase their stake at the expense of those who get put on the street. The freedom is enviable.

Westminster folks can make it happen and then complain when the result end up in their front yard rather than someone else's

Love the prose.

As an ex-and-soon-to-be-again 1%er, I don't think we can blame arbitrary percentages. We have the 99% who gladly sell their futures short for an extra days worth of comfort.
I think it is just a human problem. We refuse to look at or critique the systems we use, and anyone that falls out of line, we use victim blaming to restore our world views towards "just & fair".
We use bad systems which fail to account for human biases, and falsely believe these systems are set in stone.

This is true. Humans do suck.
This conversation inspire you on your latest poem?

Maybe. I've been experimenting with writing poems exploring issues from the other perspective. I like exploring the concept of "other" within the human mind.

love to read it

"Party on the street everyday
Sleeping bag parties are so cool
Those Westminster frogs jelly
Coz how cool a sleeping bag person got outside their establishment"..... You uphold the very common plot but very exquisitely.....I saw many people who have slept on rail station or open sky peacefully but life is so what we expect but didn't get.....thanks for sharing your experience!!
