Driven by something....

Dangerous paths deep into the never ending darkness.

Hard to breathe, no way for your eyes to see.

Forwards you went into the pit of burning pain.

Driven by your curiosity!

Fear now running like shivers over your human spine.

No silence anymore, only screams, so loud they hurt your ears.

Deeper and deeper you walk for what you want to find.

Driven by your fucking need to know!

Thin and damp air filling your lungs with memories of the past.

You feel fingers tight around your fragile neck, squeezing.

You don't give up, you need to finish.

Driven by your ever searching touch.

There is no way back now that you're there.

Embrace the dying illness you have found.

Become one with the torment and spasms and feel blessed.

Driven by your fragile heart!

There is no cure for what you have seen and for what you got.

It was your touch, your love, your tears and willingness to help.

You entered my domain at your own risk, your soul, your mind, your past, your future they now belong to me.

You were driven by a longing you could not control.

Into my trap you walked, eyes wide open so you could see.

Yet your hunger for more and more brought you here.

Take my hand and follow me close to the last breath of air you will ever take.

Driven by emotions, human nature....

I can see some pagan roots here--you might want to read some spells and capture the rhythms they invoke. Now it tends towards pop-goth. Though , "your fucking need to know..." stands out as a less romanticized introduction into a worse/interesting ride. I'd recommend reading much Plath, Shakespeare's incantation lyrics (Tempest, Macbeth) and perhaps Georges Bataille (though you should study some of his Philosophy in conjunction), and wherever else your muse takes you--it has a strange way of getting you what you need (if a book seems to be calling you, it is).

Thank you kindly for the tips they are very welcome and I will read up on them!

My pleasure. There's something interesting in your poetry that keeps me engaged--I'm trying to pull a few published poets and some critics into the room, so things should get interesting and the more your exposed to poems as literature, the better. You're at that learning stage where any influence is a good influence--I'm jealous. There's a later stage where any influence is a bad influence and it's fucking awful--like walking in on your dad jerking off to tentacle porn awful.

I believe that its never too late to learn a few new tricks, harder yes! Thank you again for your kind words! They made me smile! And it would be wonderful to see more and more people sharing their poetry here!
