Civilization is killing us, yet we can't live without it.

We roast and toast,

Flare and burn, diminishing the extra-virgin part of Nature.

Mother nature grumbles and Trumble at this;

The Earth and the Ocean revolt,

Tsunamis and Large Magnitude Earthquakes,

Yet humanity has no remorse.

Our quest to conquer, the thirst to Rule

We find a more bizarre way to kill the Atmosphere,

Never Minding the future to come.

Technology is saving us,

Yet killing us more.

Only the wise and the old know how a non-toxic Universe looks like.

Where winter comes in its period,

Summer in due time.

And spring obeying the circle of nature.

Where a mild Earth rumbling will not result in Massive Landslides,

A period where heat and cold never overstay.

But in a roasted World,

Seasons and time never align,

The laws of Nature never matters.

Life is good but could be sour too.

Things don't seem normal anymore;

Because we live in a Barbecued World.

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION

The picture inspired this Poem, the Roasted Earth indicates Global warming and all sort of unfriendly environmental activities that are damaging the planet irrespective of the technological advancement involved. In the quest to advance more technologically, more hazardous activities come into play like Gas Flaring, Water Pollution from Crude Oil, Green House Emission from Animal Farming and improper waste disposal and so on. We need to act now and embrace a more Eco-friendly approach to technological advancement to help the future Generation, thanks for reading.

What do you think we can do to savage the situation? I will like to live in a better world.

Only if i have the opportunity to be in the World Powers that dictates Climate Policies sire...

Sir, but civilisation bring about upgrading and new innovation. The world is responding to change too fast, and technology is taken place often. I don't think this can stop.... I wonder how the world will be in next 20years.

This post got me down! Thanks sir...

Embracing Eco-friendly Technological advancement is the way brother...

The world in the next 20years will be rise of the terminator.. Lol

For me, i think d worst is yet to come in the future because technology keep advancing.. We just have to hope it doesn't destroy the ozone layer more than d way it's been affected already.

Getting something always cost something; except the Mercy of the Most high.

It gives us nothing without paying a prize for it...

Thanks for sharing this Amazing poem @oluwoleolaide

Many thanks for the words of Encouragement dear @joagawu

I do hope we can savage the situation before things spiral out of control. This is the only home we have and if care is not taken we might have to start looking for another. This calls for sober reflection.

Indeed my brother, you said it most perfectly.

Civilization is truly killing us...
Reality of our time
