first short poem
Emmy
The river raged; White with speed and vigor.
Defending purity; Projecting innocence; Rejecting fear.
Earth's renewal of something genesis was clear; Her spawn piles forward.
The river calmed; Soft ripples call out while fleeting slits stream caution.
Infatuated with the surround; Blissfully exploring curiosity; Deaf to pollution.
Earth’s introductions commit snippets of her past; Sediment falls in.
Coalesced by design; The river becomes surrogate to everything near.
Too much and it will be lost; Swallowed up in murk and confusion.
Too little and it will escape natural purpose; Leaving nothing when Earth takes it back.
