Why Am I Scared To Love You?
I want to love you the way the moon loves the sun. I will give way to your light, adoring you from the other side. And if the shadow—the darkness comes, I’ll be around to be your guiding light.
I want to love you wholly, without hesitation,
And be loved by you even for a small fraction.
I want to hold you, hug you—take you all in like cognac,
But thinking about it, I don’t want you to cling back.
I want you to be happy and never lose your native wit,
But I suppose I don’t want to be even slightest reason of it.
I want you to be alive in a world of radiance,
Where my shadow won’t be seen by any chance.
I want to collide in your heart and soul,
And you never knowing that it’s me filling the hole.
You’re the magic that existed in my eyes,
But staying in my life wouldn’t be wise.
Your memory feels like home to me,
But I lack courage to fight something that was never meant to be.
When we cross our paths, I will yell your name. I will make sure we will never chase each other again. For I will be a burst of light and shatter, so we can start all over.
