My Waiting Date
Does anything beat the excitement
Of watching the train station sign
Hoping that this one isn't cancelled
Because of leaves upon the line
I've got a date to rush to
An appointment with a maiden fair
Oh please I beg you train
Don't fill me with despair!
I know she'll be there waiting
Tapping her little feet
Come on bloody train service
Don't make me late for my meet!
Calm down and have a pasty, and buy her one too.
If I went to Cornwall and for a pasty I might be forgiven!
