EMOTIONS (An Original Poem)

 

I stood in the twilight 

teardrops on my cheek  

watching the world go by ,

knowing that my future is bleak.  

I was lonely , unconsolable ,

alone with my sorrows 

Life’s million misfortunes , 

has left me uncertain about tomorrow.  

I was reaping what I sowed 

with repentance my head was bowed. 

I thought of all opportunities I wasted , 

all the frivolous things I did.  

I longed to undo my past mistakes , 

To change the present for my future sake 

But as the last friend patted my back 

I tried hard to bury my fears in vain.  

Yet may be all hope is not lost ,

But for now , I have a slight realization-

That comes from desolation.
