The Dance of Lila

and this is when,
I glimpsed,
a moment of the wind,

a piece of her hair,
a rhythm,
a dance of the air.

her tinkling feet.

the Sanskrit definition of Lila can be loosely translated as “play”; the dance of the cosmos. the world is a stage upon which this play unfolds. as we act out our temporary roles we may as well try not to take things so seriously, remembering it’s all temporary, and to walk lightly.
