Learning from the heart (an original poem)

'Mama?' she asked carefully
while siting on her favorite chair
'Why do we live life as we do,
treat it like we just don't care?'

'what do you mean my child?
whats wrong with the world today?
we all live our life as we should do
with hopes, dreams and fears on our way'

'But mama' she tries again
only this time whit a louder voice
'why do we abuse our beautiful earth?
it's not that we don't have a choice'

'Why don't we see her as our friend?
there is so much from her we can learn
she' s taking good care of us all
and look what give in return'

'As one we walk this earth together
can't we just open up our blinded eyes
to see that our lives depend on it
we're bound to each other with hidden ties'

'Oh my little child', she chuckled
'you're too young to understand
this is how we lived our life for ages
it is how it is and it will never end'

'I think you don't truly understand mama,
yes I know I'm still quite small
but if we'd all listen from inside our hearts
we'd create a better world, once and for all'
