Where lay the pages
Cloud shook and rumbled, a protest muffling under dunes on the beach
Still over and over, eternal mumble, like memory shuffling just out of reach
The water splashing against laugh-lines once known
With moss of time-loss overgrown
Entrenched in other hands from whence the words have flown
To lie beneath the secret so deep shifting with the distant groan..
Is recall to beseech, “just one glimpse of each”, love together/asleep/alone
Bring fuel, slumber is done, bring all you have and dream of and come
Passing thru silver, flicker of blue, made of fire, looks like you
Splitting the tone once thought of as new
Beyond recognition of its own extinction,
Obliterating any trait of its own
And where lay the pages, a furnace rages
And out of the plumes like birds out of cages
Come faces of the ages, children and sages
The drum beats the changes of that which rearranges
And the hum from the mains is the short circuiting blazes
As revolution razes to the ground dumb-found crazes
And breathes into the Giant, light of Love that amazes
The deep-trench watery skin of the mono-plane
Consumed by the colour as the passion became
More than a wish to the dreamer of rain
And now the cup emptied of its contents again
Can only fire of desire contain
In order to now refuse recourse
to the old, tried and failed to the Yesterday of Now
thunder forward instead with white heat of determination, without remorse
ashing the trash in quest of the New Source
Burning every bridge set irreversibly on Course
