We are alive again,
screeching like eagles,
past the ticking of the clock,
standing aloft as before!
on seas and banks,
where laughter
was made,
moulded into moments
that made many men

A gaze into the maize field!
and a flicker, ignited
jolted again into reality!
black and white,
spider web on dust floors
fading sights and sighs
of our doppelganger,
sniggering in innocence!
of a time dead forever

There's only depictions,
hanging steadily on walls!
a reminder of nothing
but we're alive
like fumes in chimneys
a reminder of flames
that once ravaged
across dimensions of youthfulness.

A touch,
and we're time travellers
speeding into the tempest,
like warriors without swords
to reminisce the gentlest,
of smiles
before our chastity
was taken unknowingly
by things we know not
