One Heart, Two Lovers

One heart, two lovers in a nest of glory
Breeding care and understanding to stand
One has a heart of forgiveness
The other a heart of endurance
How then can they not the best couple?
When there hearts work together as one.

One heart, two people from different backgrounds
One was brought up with a golden spoon
The other with a wooden spoon like the 80s
Yet they never complained of their beginnings
Just want to be with together forever
With their hearts beating as one in this life.

One heart, two people with different pasts
One was brutally raped by a family member
The other was abused domestically
Because they couldn't afford meals
And had to do menial jobs to survive
Yet they loved each other unconditionally.

One heart beating together as one
A mixture of two devoted people
That has dropped the Crosses of life
Just to stay with each other through time
One has the husband to the best wife
The other has the wife to a king on a throne.

One heart, one life to live
You only live once (YOLO)
Living life to the fullest
With love as the foundation
Blocks built on trust and care
To stand tall through storms.

One heart, two lovers in this story
One heart was meant for the other
The other heart was built for him
A tale of love and Cupid as seen in books
Walking to the isle as a unit
Married together as a unit with only a heart to live.

It gives me great joy to write about love either as a story, ode, poem or prose. As long as the theme is coated in love, I am good to go. This 6-stanza poem is about two people coming from different lives and backgrounds to become one in the name of love and relationship. We know two people become one when they get married but it has to start when courtship begins. This poem also talks about sacrifices and letting go just to be with someone and have the perfect relationship like we watch in movies or read in a book.
