To fly high above,

An interesting theme. A bit dark, mind you: Suicide as the "default option," only to be vetoed on a case-by-case basis by conscious decision. Yikes.
Nevertheless, that's poetry ... and why poets can't get dates. :-)

It is that "fact" that was undoubtedly the subconscious inspiration for the poem. Damned women ... they drive us nuts. :-)

And yes, we drive them nuts too. And do you ever hear them NOT complaining about it? The Battle of the Sexes in an integral part of Nature. It's at least half the fun. So, have at it ... they have pens too. :-)

The rise and plummet, each rushing fall, searching for reasons to pull up. i hope you always find one <3 this is such a beautiful poem!
If every day, we had to push a button to keep going, would we...? Would it be easier, knowing we only chose it one day at a time? or would it make it too easy to give up? although, in some ways, it makes every day more valuable, the active choice to live it, somehow gives it more worth
Imagine how few we would ve in that case 😝
