Deadly poison
From gnarled fangs
Forked lips...
Lethal
Yet immortal
It seeks out its prey
And I wish I had ran...

Skilfully it wraps its tail
In a grip so tight
And spits out venom
In a fit of rage...
In your finely crafted lies
Flows the poison
That turns my heart
To cold stone...

Toxic waste
Is all you give
But when next you bite
To give me venom
It will be an elixir
To heal my cracked heart
Then I will remember
That you never cared
For anyone but yourself...

You are no longer
A poisonous plague
Nor the slittering reptile
Spitting venom
I have banished you
To where you would cease
Burning a hole
In my heart...
