CAN WE CLIP THE WINGS OF TOMORROW'S WORRIES AND FOCUS ON TODAY? IS IT POSSIBLE?
Have you guys noticed this account @kerlund74? She is one of the few steemians I came across and would still love to review. I love when individuals are passionate about what they do.
Have you noticed how we are so fixed with our thoughts about tomorrow?
We ask questions like,
"What would I eat tomorrow?"
"What would I wear tomorrow?"
"Would I close the deal tomorrow?"
TOMORROW
My voice laced with worries, walked
on the winds with hopes of
traveling to peep into the night, my
lips kissed a cup: labelled
anxious mixed in a cup with
eagerness, the honey of the lot
my body sang as I drank the beverage of uncertainty
Then I met a boy
whose spirit flew free
he ate joy on tree of today
dotting the 'i' in happiness
and
i wondered,
why don't i pluck joy
eat with the peace of today
combing the cobwebs of
*yesterday, with sweetness and love.
This is an assignment from #dolphinschool day8. You too can be a part of it.
What do you feel about worrying about tomorrow? Should there be a limit? Worrying has been seen to be a great causative agent for many medical ailments. Interestingly the human mind could worry about the most mundane of things. Like whether the sun would be harsh on the morrow.
In my opinion, never worry about what you can not control, do your bit and leave the rest. What do you think?
By the way @palp is writing great poetry, you might want to check him out.
I liked your post. It can really make one think. I have learned many times the hard way that we cannot worry about things out of our control. Just like you said. Over worrying can cause depression and stress which then causes many other things. Its like a domino effect. Its easier said than done though. I think that it's okay to worry about necessities such as a home to live in and food to eat but over worrying will do nothing for the problem.
