I was inspired to write an original poem by @buckydurddle and his most recent post below...
AM RADIO
My childhood nudges me
in the stomach
I feel emotions
I forgot existed
I feel a life
long forgotten
Like the touch of a needle
on a broken record
I apologize
profusely
But there are
no mistakes in
music
No mistakes
in life
Follow your instincts
disregard critics
especially those that
question
Who you really are
telling you
you'll be better
once you
"grow up"
It is who you are
now
that matters
Not the dream
of a clear sound
without the scratches
Of the radio
and old records
that
shaped who you
really
are

Your poem today, reminds me of the old floor model radio that my granddad had in the kitchen of the old farm house. We'd dial in the radio and listen to the old country tunes wailing out about some guys poor broken heart during supper. Then after supper and clean up, we'd pull the chairs around to listen to Hockey Night in Canada! Those were the good old days!
Haha! Awesome memories @cecicastor! Something about "dialing it in" the feel of the knob and finally balancing the left and right and getting it "just right"...we didn't need much but love did we?
