Poem
We will go together darling, you and I,
Where seagulls wheel beneath a happy sky,
Where sea wind blows to kiss the stalwart earth and with all gentleness and grace,
Moves the sand across his face like little grains of time,
You always said we had more time.
We will go together lover, hand in hand,
Where sea shells sit upon the rippled sand
like gems set in a great encircling crown the ocean wears,
the scudding foam her gown,
And rolling breakers rise to tumble down and curl about the air,
like the tresses of her hair
Upon that beach my woman we will stand as a rising tide engulfs the moon-lit strand
And offer all our passion each to each.
Where I talked with God; He told me it is well
My truth is the truth, the heaven and the hell
That there is one great truth, all the rest will come;
I am yours and you are mine.
Then we shall be together and as one
Where the longing land runs down to meet the sea,
We will run our fingers through eternity.
