On The Brink Of Jealousy; Sad & Tragic Endings {An Original Poetry}

What you have, I want
if lifestyle is for sale, maybe I will
strive to get yours with all I've got
and even though it sends me on a course right into the abyss,
I don't want to live in your shadow
so, I'd hope that I be you in the morrow.


You had it figured out friend
I kept scurrility at bay as I await your end
the sun mooned and the stars shiver in the distance,
eclipses put this reality of ours in a trance.
You lived, I lived
alternating as two sides of the coin that exists; the good and evil.


Time took us on a journey of patience
but I'd fake a smile when in your presence.
mischief turns seed, sprouted from within
so, I bask in an ocean where jealousy prevails, and even though drowning
perdition is too compelling to break away from,
I knew destruction lie in the wait as my resolve bags a deceptive apparition.


What breed is the fruit of jealousy?
likened to discontented sailors at sea
unappreciative of the small beginnings
leading them down a jinxed trail of sad & tragic endings.
All for jealousy, I'm willing to let go of my identity
but what good does it, when it will never be me.


Even if I wanted to stop, my pride would never let go
a shimmer reaches out for my soul but the truth I loathe.
I'm on the brink of jealousy and I thought to have a fill
why such a burst of resources invested in envy?
Time ticks as if in a hurry but still, you & I lived
but in the end, I died fruitless trying to be you and not me.
