A Premonition's Sign

A gift from the heavens high up above,
fire in her soul drenched in pure love.

A secret garden she keeps, but unlocks the gate with an ancient key,

was where our hearts fused in a romantic lovers' tune.

The premonition's sign sparked the fire that fanned a flame,
and my lips caressed the sound of her infinite name.

The trail of desire marked on the map of love,
a spinning wheel on a tire that swings in the shadow of a quiet cove.

Tides cresting high brought showers of relief,
and something more that was beyond our belief.

A deluge left in their wake, but new foundations were established on their shores,
An edifice of devotion and a key to unlock the doors.

Carried away by the undertow, caught beneath the waves
drawn down to where only lovers go, into undersea caverns and caves.

The rage in her tenderness, the anger in her passion,
brought newness of life through true reform and refashion.

I tasted her pain, I felt her sorrow,
I long for what would come in the moon of our tomorrow.
