The Trees
We admire their beauty,
But fail to understand our duty,
Without them we could not breath,
Take take and then receive,
Are they the souls of the earth,
Here from the time of birth,
The wise ones of the land,
Quiet and dutiful they stand,
Man comes and hacks them down,
Such ignorance; man what a clown,
They protect they survive,
Their roots connect out of sight,
Like a guiding friend in the night,
The silent beauty keeping us alive!

Oh wow, this poem is wonderful. I love the topic about trees, we humans take them for granted. I absolutely believe you should keep going with your poems. Don't ever stop no matter what anyone thinks, I know they make you feel better to share them cause it happens to me. I love Steemit wonderful people all about, sharing there lives true and stout! Come one come all to this beautiful place, we all shall love in time and space!
