Love (An Original Poem)

Love

It happened very quickly,
so fast that no one could see

How this crazy difference
Affected you and me

One day I was your friend,
The next, a little more

Until you couldn't call it
friendship
But something with a
roar

We knew the us and
downs of it
We knew the laughs and
cries

But we really weren't expecting
what met our youthful eyes
It was better than
imaginable

This things that we call
love.

It was graceful as the
breeze.

And quiet as dove.

It is adventurous and
frightening

And still, I must say

My heart has never left
that cold November day.
