Black Bile

A little bit here
A little bit there,
And the tar is mixed-
Turfs of teal, steel, and a
Drop of tear.

Take a pinch up the gullet
And into the throat,
And what it becomes is not a road.
But a bliss of black bile-

It's just a pinch,
But it tears the mind,
Roils the soul,
Thickens the intestines,
Bares the flesh,
And finally,
The tears roll down.

A little bit of cancer,
Teal.
A little bit of Heartbreak,
Steel.
A little of everything bad and ugly,
And the tar is mixed.

Toads are all the better,
For the bitter biles that filter through their croaks,
Tear the silent air,
But still the storm within.
