Smashing and Dashing

I didn't know the rules to smashing and dashing

I didn't know the rules at all.

I thought to myself 

I had it all under control

I thought to myself

I was in charge.

I came to my senses as 

I came 

I agreed to her every demand.

I waited and waited

I contemplated

I was on stand-by as 

I waited for her call.
