Im back! How many podcast listeners on Steem? I want to hear from you!
I’m not a watcher of TV but a listener of Podcasts. In an age of abundance and information overload, I find it increasingly important to listen to experts in their respective fields as opposed to catching rehearsed sound bites and sensational news encapsulated in commercial advertising. It’s so refreshing hearing enthusiastic scholars talking about a subject they are passionate about in a long-form open conversation. I got into podcasts roughly a year ago and haven’t looked back. I can honestly say I feel like I’ve had an extra college education since graduating, it feels totally liberating. Plus, as most of you know your brain works like a muscle; the more we use it and learn the longer it functions optimally.
There are new podcasts popping up all over the place with many different flavours to suit most listeners. My go-to are still the Joe Rogan Podcasts on Youtube, I consider these the gold standard of the podcasting world. If you are completely new to podcasts this is often a good place to start. I thought I might share some of my favourite podcasts below. For those of you who are already podcast crazed like me, I’d love to hear from you and what you listen to. I’m constantly on the lookout for new material!
Here is a list of my favourite podcasts so far:
Andreas Antonopoulos – Bitcoin expert and educator
Ben Goertzel – AI Expert, CEO and founder of SingularityNET
Brian Cox – Physicist and professor of particle physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester

I haven't delved into seasons 2 or 3 but the first season is gripping to say the least.. This is the podcast that got me hook line and sinker into podcasts. If you get started on serial make sure to have a 10 hour block of free time!

Yessssssss! I have recently become podcast crazy myself! My ultimates are absolutely any Abraham Hicks vids I can find on Youtube (I cannot even begin to describe how much I recommend this conscious altering material...) also in my top list is Ashley Wood Manifest This and Russell Brand UNderneath The Skin (Both available on Podbean) Happy listeningn
Aaahhhh The podcast rabbit hole! Haven’t heard of Abraham Hicks before, listening to her for the first time right now :) Fully expected a mans voice and got nicely surprised to hear a nice soothing female voice. Thanks for the recommendation! I listened to Russell Brands JRE podcast when that came out earlier this year and was gobsmacked by his articulate and poetic manner. He is a perfect example of how a change in consciousness can manifest itself. I have listened to Underneath The Skin ever since and am loving it. One of my all time favourite podcasts is the one between Russell Brand and Derren Brown. If you haven’t seen that, it’s a must haha!
