Okay, so now I'm supposed to eat dandelion leaves?! :)

Well, at least those can be found in abundance. I knew eventually I'd find a use for some of the 'weeds' that keep popping up in my yard. Any use for crab grass and thistles?

EdibilitY / Nutrition

Seeds may be ground up and used as flour. The fine white flour can be used for semolina.
Compared to other grains, it has relatively high protein content.

Decoction of plant used in treatment of gonorrhea.
Used as folk remedy for cataracts and debility. Also, said to be emetic.

Fiber: Fiber from the plant can be used for making paper.

And Thistle Weed is a powerful medicine, besides also containing a high protein ratio!!!! Whaaaat! I didn't know about this. Check this out.

We have been conditioned so badly!. Every plant has an use :)

Nice! Forget about keeping the lawn nice (okay, maybe the front yard still so the neighbors don't complain too loudly). I might have to just look into some farm land and start harvesting the weeds! :)
