The sugarcane tree or Saccharum officinarum called is a member of the grass family. Sugar cane has a sturdy stem, hard, resembling a joint shape, leaves with a rough surface and can grow at a height of 2 to 6 meters. This plant has many nutrients that are very beneficial to our body, such as phosphorus, potassium, calcium, iron, vitamins and magnesium contained in the water.

Sugar cane came from the New Guinea region, then brought to America by Christopher Columbus explorer in 1493. Now sugar cane has grown in more than 70 countries, especially in the tropics (Indonesia), as well as in some subtropical regions. Countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, the Pacific, southeastern United States, Mexico, and South America have also been cultivating sugarcane crops.
