The historic Umayyad Mosque of Syrian Damascus
The image you see is the Umayyad Mosque of Damascus in Syria. This is a historic mosque.
It is also one of Syria's first and the oldest mosques in the world. In 634, the Cathedral of John the Baptist Christians dedicated this church.
This Umayyad Mosque was built here in 715 AD. In Islam's history, it has become the first memorial of Muslim architecture.
UNESCO has also named the title of 'World Heritage', this Umayyad Mosque, standing in the history of history. However, due to the continuous civil war in Syria, this mosque has lost some of its beauty.
There are 3 monuments in this mosque. The largest dome of the mosque is 'Dom of Eagle'. In 2001, Pope John Paul Umayyad Mosque came to see the ruins of John the Baptist. He is the first person to visit the mosque as a Pope in the history of the world.
In a very tactful way, the tradition of destroying the Muslims in a civil war is being ruined.
Beautiful mosque @zakia
We Muslims believe that Jesus/ Īsā ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) will appear in this mosque near end times.
