Are Pizzagate Posts Being Artificially Suppressed?
If you've been on Steemit for a while you'll know that the topic of Pizzagate has not appeared on the front page trending for some time now.
Some have alleged that #pizzgate is being censored, some have argued that it's just no longer trending in the top 25 topics, while others claim its absence is due to glitches in the Steemit system.
At first, I believed the argument that it was simply 'not trending' currently, that would explain why it no longer shows up on the front page. That's fine and dandy but it doesn't explain why it has completely disappeared from the tags & topic listings once again for an extended period (weeks/months).
So maybe it's a glitch in the system, right?
Yeeaahhh...i don't know.
Why would this glitch only be affecting #pizzagate?
There are hundreds of pizzagate posts....while seemingly dead tags such as these listings remain:
- 'pegging' (3 -posts) $ 11.9
- 'black chain' (2-posts) $1.9
- 'craigright' (2-posts) $0
- 'firstwordproblems (1-post) $0
- 'drug-abuse (1-post) - $0
- 'half-explanations (1-post) $0
- 'lifeseries' (1-post) $0
- 'megalithis (2-posts) $0
- 'nfws' (1-post) $0
- 'Shremring' (1-post) $0
- 'slamchallenge' (1-post) $0
Surely, none of these Tags are trending, or were ever trending. Some of these are just spelling mistakes, I assume. Yet, they remain. They do not disappear because of some 'glitch', though maybe they should.
Total Posts
A few weeks ago, i wondered how many total posts were made to the #pizzagate Tag, as there seemed to be a healthy community. Since it was not displayed in the listings, I checked esteem by doing a tag search. When you type in the tag title it provides some anticipated topics. Pizzagate and the total number of posts associated with the tag appears when you do this.
I remember noticing that, at that time, #pizzagate was just under 900 total posts.
I then remember checking it again a few weeks later and curiously it was still below 900 even though, like many others, I am a regular contributor. This was puzzling.
Are #pizzagate posts being artificially suppressed?
I decided to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. I took a few screen grabs when i could last week.
Here are a few of them starting with the oldest post which I took probably 10 days ago.
Notice the total posts at 821 (This is a reduction of at least 60 posts from when i first started noticing they were not increasing.)

The total number of Pizzagate Posts are not being artificially held static, they're being reduced!
You can make a quick comparison with posts that have been made in the last 5 days to see that this is pretty fucked.
Hey, I have talked with some of the whales and the people who created steemit and they are not suppressing PizzaGate, I asked them and they said they would never censor any posts, or suppress the information and honestly I believe them because some of them have been up voting me for a long time.

I've been observing the total number of posts stagnate and then begin to decline for a while now. I'm a pretty cautious person, I don't jump to conclusions and i feel this is a legit question.
No one has been able to offer a decent explanation so far and, to my knowledge, no other tag/topic's TOTAL posts are in decline.
Do you think this is a glitch or some sort of technical error?
I'm not trying to accuse the 'whales' or steemit guys personally of trying to censor #pizzagate maliciously. But how can you explain the absence of pizzagate in the tag/topic listings (it's been gone for3-4 months) and the decline in totals as i showed above?
I'm not a techy, maybe there's some way to check #pizzagate on the blockchain?
There's steemdb which is allows to query content based on different criteria, I'm on mobile and don't think I'll be on till later on tonight but maybe @ausbitbank can help you. This is a very interesting issue for certain and it seems that this wasn't simply a glitch as it happened at a time that pizzagate was becoming quite popular, Ned and others as I think you remember said it wasn't anything but other tags being more popular and possibly a bug but nothing has changed since then.
I remember the original conversation sparked by @gizmosia when pizzagate was getting a lot of attention and the answers provided in the discussions.
Thanks for showing interest in this area... maybe this issue is uncomfortable for others, but i think it should be addressed. Hope to hear from @ausbitbank, at least he might be able to provide some technical insight or a plausible explanation.
I don't know, I am not savvy enough technologically speaking to provide you with a better answer. I just wanted to add my two cents on this for what it is worth.

I also posted with pizzagate as a secondary tag using pedogate (or pedophilia) as the primary

I never once mentioned big accounts or anything to do with upvotes.
If you follow his inflammatory and trollish posts and comments you will see why and how that is what needed to be expressed by this possible shill account. He's no anarchist, so don't let the moniker mislead, he is a communist and seeks to make anarchists look as such while attacking religion (like his moniker) further seeking to polarize and fracture anarchism. I will be doing an expose on the account in the future to establish their modus opernadi and the possible ends.
