At first look. I see the left side building is 2 floor. But comet ping pong and the building to the right don't have 2nd floor windows. Also appears floor to ceiling space would be low (7 ft) to make the 2 floors.
It's two stories tall which is how commercial buildings like that are listed. The original space had a 2nd floor between the floor and ceiling. That was removed at some point and now it is a single floor space.

In any case, the kill room sign is obviously a joke. I've worked in places with similar dark humor about attic storage spaces.
