RE: Pixabay Curation Magazine: Reponse from the Artist I've featured + Paypal Conversions

I'm pretty sure that they don't get a lot of donations, not too many people think about that aspect. I've seen it with many open-source software projects, some of these volunteers put 20 - 30 hours per week in the project, without compensation. While those projects don't usually get less than 500 dollars per month in donations.

Now, I would assume that public domain images and their creators get a lot less recognition than open-source software projects. The absolute majority of people who use public domain images, will not think it's worth it to donate for using that image. Images are usually a 1-time-use, so someone will usually just grab it and not even go back after they've copied it. Safe to say that they'll probably earn less than 50 dollars per month in donations. While they might have put a lot of time into editing the image, especially with illustrations and drawings. I'll definitely ask some of the artists on Pixabay how many donations they receive, if they would want to share that info. Nee ben er niet achter gekomen, ik wou er niet te veel tijd aan spenderen, om eerlijk te zijn :) Kon moeilijk enkele uren vrij maken om een bot te maken (de enige optie)
