Colorado, USA
Most tourists prefer independence and, from the airport, rent a winter-equipped car.

One of the best companies is Hertz Car Rental, which offers 24-hour assistance at a free phone number.
From the airport you will start on the most crowded and monitored 4-lane highway, I-70. You will cross the Rocky Mountains at high altitude and you will probably choose as a destination accommodation, the famous Aspen or Vail ski resorts.
Accommodation offers are structured according to the financial strength of each. You can choose internationally recognized hotels such as The Little Nell in Aspen or Sonnenalp (built in European style) in Vail. You will pay for excellent quality and numerous amenities on average 400-600 $ per night.
Another greatly appreciated accommodation, where you will find both comfort and more privacy, is the cottage. You can rent one with $ 540 to $ 1440 per week.
Whether you choose Aspen or whether you decide to spend your holiday in the most popular North American ski resort (Vail), time will pass easily and you will have a choice of various spectacular activities.
You can start by renting a pair of skis with about $ 21 a day and once equipped to explore the Vail slopes stretching over 5289 acres.
You will be able to enjoy free ski and snowboard lessons. For the latter renting will cost $ 27 a day.
Passionate skiers will also need a one-week ski pass for which they will pay $ 364.
If you do not want to limit yourself to skiing and snowboarding, take a snowmobile tour through White National Forest. It takes 3 hours and costs $ 300 for 2 people.
There's always something interesting in the Colorado winter resorts. Here is the Budweiser beer festival (with Wednesday cohorts) as well as Winterskol, which lasts for 4 days and includes a fashion parade for dogs, fireworks, skating competitions and ice sculpture.
Suppose none of the listed offers will be enthusiastic. No problem! You can go to a nearby resort with lower prices and exciting tourist attractions.
The town they speak is called Glenwood Springs and is famous for the Glenwood Caverns and the world's largest hot spring swimming pool (open-air, surrounded by mountains and open all year round).
There are undoubtedly amateurs of hiking. Explore the countless marked trails of Glenwood Canyon.
The ultimate point of the most spectacular is the fascinating Hanging Lake. Worth seeing!
Another very important aspect of your stay is culinary. The offer is overwhelming but I can mention a few names: Vendetta (Italian), La Cantina (Mexican), Le Tour (French), Osaki's Sushi (Japanese) or Grill on the Deck (American).
If you are lucky, your vacation period may coincide with the Dine Around Vail. It takes 15 days and for a fixed price of $ 15 or $ 30 you can taste the exceptional local dishes

Amazing picture! Where in Colorado was it taken? I70 is a mess in the winter. It moves at a snails pace and people should spend some time planning when to use it to avoid traffic.
