A classic
A classic
Even though I often state I am a country boy at heart and dislike the concrete Jungle that is NYC, it is a city with such variety, modern buildings, classic buildings, interesting art pieces etc etc, but mixed in with the modern feel you often find something old and classic such as this vehicle I will share a couple of shots of.

This old truck is parked in the side off the road outside one of the buildings in Midtown East, I often pass by it and have taken a couple of shots of it, this one a year or so ago, but I have never got around to editing them or sharing, I guess that's a plus of the cold and rainy weather, and not getting out and taking new photos is making me look through my older shots that I skipped by and finding shots to share.
A question for other photographers, When for whatever reason you are not out taking photos do you find it hard to get motivated to look through your photos and do editing,?
I know for me when I get out taking photos it motivates me to get home and do photo editing even if it is not the photos you took that day or week
It's now been almost two weeks that I haven't been out with the camera taking photos on my normal morning walk's in the city or around Milford on Weekends, which for me is a long break, and looking at the forecast for the next week I doubt I will get out for any photo walks this week either.
I guess its an age thing, seems only a few years ago I would get our for walks no matter how cold it was, only rain would slow me down, but with my health issues and age, I have had to be sensible and not be out too long when it is cold or damp and risk getting congested or worse, My lungs are very susceptible these days so although I do layer up for getting to and from work, it doesn't really stop me breathing in the cold air, so I am mostly walking directly to the office without any detours for photos.
and you may ask what the heck all of that has to do with this classic truck, and the simple answer is absolutely nothing, my mind just wanders off at a tangent at times, perhaps sharing these shots of this old truck made me think I am getting old myself, so let's get back to the truck.

And anothe rmore recent shot of the truck, I forget which building property it is parke don but it has been there for years, but I am not able to say if there is any significance of it being there.
unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Oh my @tatoodjay, I am sorry you can't get out and walk right now! I am sure you are stir crazy!! Although, injury and sickness....not worth it right? Spring is right around the corner and as you said you have plenty of pictures to edit! We love this, fun photos! Do you think someone actually drives this to and from work or is it just a vintage vehicle on display? Pretty cool!
Thanks and yes I need to be sensible for sure and take care of myself but yes I am totally stir crazy LOL,
This truck is always parked there every time I go past so I think it is part of the building decor
Yay cars!! Great angles and what a beauty. Gosh I love cars and you already know but gotta say it again’
Thanks this is such a cool one
Beautiful. I just love that RPU. That Henry was really on to something with the Roadster Pick Up, and the depression killed it deader than Julius Caesar.
I'd have loved to see the progression of convertible pick up trucks through the 50's and 60's. Ah well, it's really great to see one whenever, especially as nicely done as this one.
I go through stages. Sometimes it seems I'm so busy looking at stuff that I forget to take out even my phone. Some times, just the thought of plowing into a thousand frames numbs my mind. Some times I just need a siesta more than photo editing :)
Thanks for a great look at a great pickup.
Thanks for info on the RPU it’s a pity the depression killed this style off
Thanks also for your feedback on taking photos and editing I seldom have a siesta other that when watching a movie with my wife unless it is real gripping I always snooze off
That oldie is Sweeeeet! My grandfather would love this one! Nice crisp shots!
I thought I was the only one! Yes yes that’s me too! 🖐🏽 It can take awhile for me to get motivated to edit my shots. We both know how fun it is taking the shots but editing can be long and a lot of work. But after I get out and get some good ones I’ll be all excited and ready to edit something. Sometimes it’s the ones I just did but most of the time it’s catching up on previous ones. It’s almost like I go in order of the shots I take.
Lol it’s so cool knowing photographers think alike and go through the same things sometimes ;D
That is so cool to know tis common for photographers and not just me :)
Have a great day
I love classic cars and trucks, and this one is sharp! I wonder if the old thing runs...
I do wonder if it still runs it has been in this same spot for years, so I honestly do not know but it looks so good i hope that it does
I hope so too! If the inside looks as good as the outside, maybe it does...
