Some Street art in the First Street Green Cultural Park

First Street Green Cultural Park also called the First Street Green Art Park, is a small Park in the Lower East Side on Houston Strete between 1st and 2nd Ave which has a lot of Graffiti art and is a place I try to visit at least a couple of times a year as the art keeps changing here is some of the art i saw on my last visit there.

The group that manages this park collaborates with local artist to ensure there is always art in the park and the art is frequently updated which makes it cool to see.

What a neat neighborhood. I love the way the artists all work together to keep the artwork fresh. It is always so sad to see those who chose to destroy the beautiful and hard work of other who just want to make the world a better place! Thanks for sharing @tatoodjay, love it! :)

·

yes indeed make sit fun to go back every few months to see whats new and I do love that is a collaborative of many artists

I like these small urban oasis'. They are really cool to see. In a city that is growing constantly like NYC it is nice to see things like this still exist. I know a lot of cities are reverting back to things like this as old buildings come down. Either that or they are trying to incorporate these elements into new buildings.

·

That is one of the things I do love about NYC it has many parks whether big Like Centrla Park and somewhat Nature related or a little art park like this and so much art all over the city its always cool to explore and find new Art

I think NYC does well, but it could do more as could all cities to do more to add nature back into the concrete JUngle

Your posts are always so fun. ♥
Somehow you manage to find the coolest things, and then take fantastic photos of them to share with us all.
Thanks!

·

What a super cool place! It's like an oasis in my world (it's only an oasis if there's enough water and soil to grow things around it. Otherwise it's a 'tank'). Unexpected the first time you see one, and never to be forgotten.

Thanks for this. I always like your looks at the city.

·

That is one good thing about NYC it has many of these little green oasis hidden away inthe concrete JUngle

·

Thanks I do love this area so much art in a small space wonderful variety and always changing

·
·

I bet you do!!! awsome place to be at, we used to have a huge block for street artists, to show their work.. BUT taggers destroied it :( :(

·
·
·

Thats sad that tiggers destroyed it, we have tagged sin the city I got some shots of some this morning but they seem to leave places like this alone fortunately

·
·
·
·

I know... and as street art, at least here in sweden have a semi ok reputation, them taggers dont help....

·
·
·
·
·

Yes Taggers I find are often not liked by the real artist, and if they damage real art even more so, I know when someone tagged over a few of the photos at the local train station including two of mine I was quite frustrated, but at least we could clean it off fairly easy

·
·
·
·
·
·

i know :( buuut have you seen them taggers that makes it great?? THEM i dooo love :D lol give a bubbelgum feel to them ;)
Oh they did over yours?? uffa pore baby :( I didnet know, you showcased, hooow cool :D yeahh you!!
