Photomag - now an open curation subcommunity of @c-squared!!

Hey guys,

As you may well know, I am one of the founders of the curation initiative, @c-squared. For the last few months, we have been building the community there to the point where we are running like a beautifully tuned curation machine. This (and other personal commitments) has kind of detracted my focus from @photomag somewhat so I thought a great way to enable improved photography curation for @photomag was to open it up and run it as a subcommunity within c-squared.

What does this mean for @photomag

There is one major change; @photomag is moving to become an open curation community. This means that I am inviting Steemians to bring forward posts that they have found on the blockchain that they believe deserve the @photomag vote. This does not include your own posts. Curation is all about finding great content from others.

This is exactly how @c-squared already works; curators voluntarily work to find posts on the blockchain and drop them in our discord server for the @c-squared, @c-cubed and potentially some larger trail votes from the likes of @curie.

To this end, there is now a @photomag category in the @c-squared discord server with a #the-darkroom channel into which any curators can drop quality photography based posts that they find.

If you would like to become a curator for @photomag (and/or @c-squared) please drop into the c-squared discord server and tag/DM me in there in order to get the photomag curator role and start dropping links. Everything is totally voluntary, there is no requirement to drop a certain amount of posts. You might find one great post a week, or half a dozen a day. I don't mind. I just want like-minded photography fans to work together to make steem a great place for photography.

I'll pick and choose the best photo posts and give them a nice healthy upvote. The top posts from the day will end up in the daily photomag feature post (coming soon™)

Plagiarism and image theft will not be tolerated, as will any smell of circle-jerking :).

There will probably be a certain amount of change as this progresses, but it will be great to run a photography community where everyone can be involved in rewarding great photographers.
