Travel #2 | Get to know the Pier 39 | The Popular Tourist Attraction

Pier 39 is not a typical pier that we see in every city. It is a shopping center and popular tourist attraction built on a pier in San Francisco , California.

A good friend gave us a treat to explore this pier and the neighboring tourist attraction. At first, I kind of, "forget about the Pier, I am used to that and I even live near the pier from my hometown in the Philippines". Ohhh a proud Filipino here.

To my surprise, this is not a Pier at all!
At Pier 39, there are
•Shops
•Restaurants
•Street performances
•Aquarium of the Bay
•Rides
•Sea lions on the bay
•Entertainments and many more

》 A perfect spot to incorporate San Francisco and Pier 39 as your background.

》It is just a small area where you can do walking and enjoy every view. A perfect place for entertainment. It's inside the City's parameter but not too crowded. Air still good as the clean sea gives freshness.

》 Sweets that you can buy in some stores as well as souvenirs like keychains, clothings ect. They are quite expensive but there are some sales that you would probably love and enjoy.

》 As an Engineer, ohhh these sparks my eyes. The structures are just beautiful. Slow clap to the Architect/s!!!

Sea lions have always been present in San Francisco Bay . They started to haul out on docks of Pier 39 in September 1989. Before that they mostly used Seal Rock for that purpose. Ever since September 1989 the number of sea lions on Seal Rock has been steadily decreasing, while their number on Pier 39 has generally increased.

Pier 39 was first developed by entrepreneur Warren Simmons and opened October 4, 1978.
