Have you ever photographed the moon... if you are an enthusiastic photographer, I am sure. But did you photograph the moon alone? It is also impressive, especially with a good camera and a sharp telephoto lens with a high focal length. But this will eventually lose its attraction - except of course, if you have discovered astrophotography as your specialty and want to shoot better and more detailed pictures of our satellite. Special equipment opens up undreamt-of possibilities.

What I want to do is a special time period that fascinates me every 30 days. The full moon rising, and possibly the rising one day before or after. Not to forget the full moon setting, but this is often something for early risers.

When the full moon rises, this happens in Central European latitudes at least at the time of sunset. And that's a good thing, because if you try to make a landscape picture at night you'll notice that you'll have problems with the exposure, if you want to expose the landscape visibly and still want to recognize the texture of the moon, i. e. if it's not supposed to be in the picture as a burnt-out disc. This is because the moon shines brightly.

That is why we take the time of the rising of the full moon to reach our destination or one day before or after the full moon. I recommend you for the most atmospheric pictures, Moonrise times between 5 minutes before and three quarters of an hour after sunset.

These two pictures were taken at Christmas 2015 on the 24th and 25th of December I was lucky with the atmosphere and the weather, it was clear enough to see the moon quite well already deep on the horizon and fantastic colour moods arose.

Hast du jemals den Mond fotografiert ... wenn du begeisterter Fotograf bist, bestimmt. Aber hast du den Mond alleine fotografiert? Ist ja auch schon beeindruckend, gerade mit einer guten Kamera und am besten noch einem spitzen Teleobjektiv mit hoher Brennweite. Aber das verliert irgendwann etwas seinen Reiz- außer natürlich , wenn du die Astrophotografie als dein Spezialgebiet entdeckt hast und immer bessere und detailiertere Bilder unseres Trabanten schießen möchtest. Spezielles Equipement eröffnet da ungeahnte Möglichkeiten.

Worauf ich hinaus will ist ein spezieller Zeitraum der mich alle ca 30 Tage in seinen Bann zieht. Der Vollmondaufgang, und evtl der Aufgang einen Tag vorher oder nachher. Nicht zu vergessen der Vollmonduntertgang aber das ist oft eher was für Frühaufsteher.

Wenn der Vollmond aufgeht, findet das in zentraleuropäischen Breiten zumindest immer ca. zur Zeit des Sonnenuntergangs statt. Und das ist gut so , denn wenn du versuchts ein Landschaftsbild bei Nacht zu machen wirst du merken , dass du Probleme mit der Belichtung bekommst , wenn du die Landschaft sichtbar belichten möchtes und noch die Textur des Mondes erkennen möchtest, d.h. wenn er nicht als ausgebrannte Scheibe im Bild sein soll. Das liegt daran, dass der Mond verthältnisdmässig hell strahlt.

Deswegen nehmen wir uns den Zeitpunkt des Aufgangs des Vollmondes zum Ziel evtl. auch einen Tag vor oder nach Vollmond. Ich empfehle euch für die stimmungsvollsten Bilder Mondaufgangzeiten zwischen 5 min vor und einer dreiviertel Stunde nach Sonnenuntergang

Diese Beiden Bilder entstanden Weihnachten 2015 am 24. und am 25. Dezember ich hatte beides mal Glück mit der Stimmung und mit dem Wetter , es war klar genug , den Mond recht gut schon tief am Horizont zu erkennen und es ergaben sich fantastische Farbstimmungen

When photographing the moon, it is important not to choose the exposure time too long, preferably approx. 1/10th of a second. especially at medium to high telephoto focal lengths. You only need to zoom into the image when your camera allows it in Liveview and you will notice how fast the moon moves. I would also choose the aperture value quite low so that you don't have to raise the ISO too much.

If you don't have a telephoto lens, you don't have to worry the great colour mood that a full moon rising can conjure up can also turn a wide-angle picture into an eye-catcher.

Wichtig beim Mond fotografieren ist , die Belichtungszeit nicht zu lange zu wählen, am besten ca max 1/10 sec. , er bewegt sich schneller als du denkst, gerade bei mittleren bis hohen Telebrennweiten. Du brauchst nur, wenn deine Kamera es erlaubt im Liveview einmal ins Bild zoomen und du wirst bemerken wie schnell der Mond sich bewegt. Den Blendenwert würde ich auch recht niedrig wählen damit du die ISO nicht zu sehr hochschrauben musst.

Wer kein Teleobjektiv hat, nicht verzagen, alleine die tolle Farbstimmung die ein Vollmondaufgang zaubern kann, macht auch ein Weitwinkelbild zum Hingucker.

What do you need for a cool moonrise picture

A camera possibly with telephoto lens, tripod, a little patience, sometimes it takes time if it is very hazy on the horizon until the moon becomes visible.

What I can also highly recommend is the page https://www.mondverlauf.de and https://www.sonnenverlauf.de. With these tools you can easily plan a shooting, be it a normal sunset or a moonrise. Especially with mondverlauf.de it is possible to plan far in advance when the moon opens where, for example, if you want to photograph the moonrise with a special Subject in the foreground. Good alternatives are also apps like sunsurveyer, but I have gotten used to planning at home on the PC and then going out then I don't have to rely on a good mobile phone network on the way.

Was Braucht ihr für ein cooles Mondaufgangsbild

Eine Kamera evtl mit Teleobjektiv, Stativ, ein bißchen Geduld manchmal dauert es auch, wenn es am Horizont sehr diesig ist, bis der Mond sichtbar wird.

Was ich ausserdem sehr empfehlen kann ist die Seite https://www.mondverlauf.de und auch https://www.sonnenverlauf.de . Mit diesen Tools lässt sich wunderbar ein shooting planen, sei es ein ganz normaler Sonnenuntergang oder eben ein Mondaufgang. Gerade mit Mondverlauf.de lässt sich weit im voraus planen, wann der Mond wo aufgeht, wenn man zum Beispiel den Mondaufgang mit einem besonderen Motiv im Vordergrund fotografieren möchte. Gute Alternativen sind auch Apps wie sunsurveyer, ich habe mir allerdings angewöhnt zuhause am PC zu planen und dann loszugehen dann bin ich unterwegs nicht auf ein gutes Netz fürs handy angewiesen

The following picture, for example, was planned for a long time and then carried out in summer when the moon's course was favourable. The situation on site was such that behind the castle, which is surrounded by forest on a mountain there was a slope with a meadow. Das folgende Bild zum Beispiel war lange geplant und dann im Sommer als der Mondverlauf günstig stattfand durchgeführt. Dies zeigt den Monduntergang kurz nach 5:00 am Morgen ... ja ich musste verdammt früh Aufstehen , ca um 4:15 und am Ende musste ich noch rennen um den richtigen Zeitpunkt nicht zu verpassen. Die Situation vor Ort war so, dass hinter der Burg, welche von Wald umringt auf einem Berg steht ein Hang lag mit einer Wiese. Wenn ich ganz hinten stehe so plante ich kann ich mit dem Tele die Burg anvisieren und den Mond im Hintergrund mit ablichten ( mondverlauf.de war da eine sehr große Hilfe) .

For lunar fans there are also regular important dates like, partial or complete lunar eclipses, giant moon blood moons etc. And believe me if I tell you that every full moonrise is a fixed date for me, because unfortunately too often the moon hides behind haze and clouds or the mood is not so much like my taste, so the possibilities are rare maybe only on 5 days a year.

Für Mondfans gibt es ausserdem regelmässig wichtige Termine wie, partielle oder komplete Mondfinsternisse Riesenmonde Blutmonde etc. Und glaubt mir wenn ich euch sage das jeder Vollmondaufgang für mich ein fixer Termin ist, denn leider alzzuoft versteckt sich der Mond hinter Dunst und Wolken oder die Stimmung ist nicht so nach meinem Geschmack, also sind die Möglichkeiten rar vielleicht nur an 5 Tagen im Jahr.
